The Preferred Path

Like many others, I joined the Goverment and served for thirty-one years and retired in 2006. I was born and raised in the Kampong Hutan Kandeh, Lepai, Kedah to the Banu Salleh family. I received my tertiary education from Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Star and University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Whilst with the Government I was posted to London, Rangoon, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Bangkok and travelled to many places.

None of my three children followed in my footstep but choose the private sector. My son, Ashraf and elder daughter, Ayu are with foreign banks although my daughter in law, Dr.Tengku Intan Baizura binti Dato’ Dr.Tengku Jamaluddin is with the Government. My youngest daughter, Intan Alia has just completed her degree from a local university. Like her sister in law, Dr.Tengku Intan , Intan Alia  Radzi is  pursuing her studies in London. Dr. Tengku Intan is doing her masters with UCL Eastman Dental Institute.  Alia is with London College of Accontancy.

In February 2008 Allah the Exalted has blessed us with the first granddaughter, Wan Akilah Safiyyah. It was one of the best moments in my life and it is a truly wonderful feeling to have her.

I ardently hope to share my humble thoughts and perspective through this web sphere with my fellow readers and perhaps reaching all my folks regardless where they are. My aim is to foster the message of  truth and peace , progress and harmony with passion.
